Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding an old grand piano hidden in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music for a love rather than a profession. They inspired her to write. In addition to Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. Responding to her mother's advice that people should not be aiming at achieving fame through the songs she writes, but rather recognize the significance of their lives and the impact they have on society. When she began playing the piano, she was only six and was writing her first song at the age of nine. The family did not be aware until fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. The singer claims she is a fan of writing music. For her, the music she writes is her way of feeling any thing.
