Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible with establishing the current study of the memory of witnesses and children as witnesses. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants, and has been the winner of many awards at the national level and international. She has worked with various government agencies and governments across the globe on policy as well as research on children as victims within the legal system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division of the American Psychology Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
